DESCRIPTION:The Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Skills Training Group is open to individuals ages 18 and up that are interested in developing effective skills for coping in general. This group is divided into four modules: Core Mindfulness Skills\, Distress Tolerance Skills\, Interpersonal Effectiveness Skills and Emotion Regulation Skills. Each module is offered over four weeks on Thursday evenings from 6:30pm-7:45pm at the NSTN location. The cost of each four-week module is $125. There will be a review of the Core Mindfulness Skills at the beginning of each module. There is no requirement to complete all four modules or to complete them in any particular order. DESCRIPTION:The Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Skills Training Group is open to individuals ages 18 and up that are interested in developing effective skills for coping in general. This group is divided into four modules: Core Mindfulness Skills\, Distress Tolerance Skills\, Interpersonal Effectiveness Skills and Emotion Regulation Skills. Each module is offered over four weeks on Thursday evenings from 6:30pm-7:45pm at the NSTN location. The cost of each four-week module is $125. There will be a review of the Core Mindfulness Skills at the beginning of each module. There is no requirement to complete all four modules or to complete them in any particular order. This group is facilitated by a Registered Psychotherapist. The cost of the group may be covered under extended health care benefits. Please check with your insurance provider prior to registering. To make our programming more accessible and affordable to individuals in our community we are offering a briefer schedule which offers a subset of skills that the full program would offer.

DESCRIPTION:When one person in a family is struggling with mental health or substance use issues the whole family feels the impact. Families play a crucial role in supporting their loved ones\, which is often at the expense of themselves. As a result\, family members may experience varying levels anxiety\, sadness\, confusion\, self-blame\, fear\, and anger. Together\, during our Family Support Group we will explore definitions of mental health and stigma; normalize feelings of guilt\, fear\, and anger; discuss the importance of developing effective communication techniques and boundaries; and establish strategies for self-care. It is our hope that our Family Support Group will help you discover you are not alone on your journey.
